Well, it has been a few weeks since the last blog and wow, have we been busy! First off, I want to congratulate the newest Private Pilot in Corona, Cody M. Who scored his wings last week with DPE Andrea.

Last Wednesday, we had our 141 Chief Pilot check ride and final site inspection and I can say that we passed with flying colors! There is one piece of paperwork left to complete, then we get our provisional certificate! This will open the doors for us to accept VA students and next up, international student visa approval.

Other happenings at the school.... We now have a new weekend crew, we welcome Lauren and Mark to the Fly C family. We also welcome Andrew K to the CFI pool. Andrew is available 7 days a week and you can often see him hanging out in the lounge and always willing to talk airplanes with anyone.

This past few weeks, we welcomed the Twin Comanche and another 172N to the fleet. The twin flies really nice and you can rent the aircraft once you have a check out done by Matt or Bill Spence. We will be offering the twin into the club along with the Debonair, look for more details in the next week or so. We are always looking for great aircraft to add to the club, send me an email if you are interested. (kevin@flycorona.com)

Maintenanceland updates...

61Q - had a new cylinder and is running stronger than ever
526 - is our other 150 that is fun to fly
68U - had an oil change and inspection done and ready to fly some more
739 - is going strong
4DT - had the radios looked at and seems to be fixed and ready to fly some more
94M - had another check ride pass. She is a work horse and ready to fly when you are!
63B - wait... did you just say 63B? I sure did, we brought back 63B to the flight line with a fresh annual and a tweak on the GPS. She is ready to go and loves to fly.
17J - Had the avionics looked at earlier and is getting a good number of flights in each day. If you have not flown the G1000, ask one of the instructors for a demo flight, you will be amazed!
182 - Our nice Debonair. This is a great cruising aircraft and cross country beauty. If you have the need for speed, 182 is the aircraft for you!
0DA - aka "YODA", is the Twin Comanche and is a great twin to train and fly in.

As you may have noticed, our maintenanceland list has grown to 10 aircraft. Did I mention that we have been very busy? We are also very excited about all the new student pilots this month, and looking forward to celebrating all the milestones with you! Speaking of milestones, Congrats to Jake W, who did his first solo this week in 4DT!

The weather is looking great, why not come out and fly around!
